Miami University Fencing Club

 

About Us

The Miami University Fencing Club is a tight knit group of students who are interested in Fencing.

​

We are open to all Miami University students at the Oxford campus, no prior fencing experience is needed.

Practices will  normally be Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8-10 pm (Tuesday is more casual/optional). At this time (08-28-2017-20-26-2017) due to Renovations and facility availability we will only be meeting Tuesday & Thursday from 8-10 at the Rec in excercise room B

 Practices will take place at Clawson Hall, on Western Campus. *** Clawson hall is currently under renovations as we speak, the first few practices will be held somewhere else TBD, Clawson Hall renovations are expected to be complete around early October.

 We do compete against other schools and at various tournaments, although tournament participation is not mandatory, you are more than welcome to just fence for the fun of it.

The University already has all the necessary equipment, so it is not necessary to purchase your own, although you are more than welcome to use your own personal equipment

We fence with Eppe's, Foils & Sabres (fun fact: fencing with Sabres is the 2nd fastest Olympic sport)
 

 You can come to 4 practices before having to pay dues.
